The goal of the Sustainability Fair was to show what First American was doing to be more sustainable and how employees can participate. We wanted to create an experience that were both educational and fun for the employees, so we created a roadmap of the different stations employees can visit to learn more. The more places they visited, the better the chance they had in winning in the raffle prize drawing. The 8 sustainable stations included the following:
• Energy Savings • Design • Food • Waste • Health and Beauty • Transportation • Recreation
As a part of the marketing campaign, we sent out weekly emails leading up to the event to build awareness and curiosity. We created an "I pledge" virtual wall, posted trivia questions for chance to win prizes, and gave away sustainable bags at the event. The bag was the employee's roadmap to visit different station, where they would get a sticker on their bag as proof of visiting that station. After the event, we sent out an survey to our employees and vendors and received results that exceed our goal.
