The Simple Limb Initiative is a project born from a Senior Design Studio at San José State University's Industrial Design Program. Professor Leslie Speer and Professor Gerhard Reichert designed this project to engage their students with real world problems, which, through the design process, would create solutions that have a real impact on users.

The brief was to design a $30 prosthetic for children in Colombia effected by landmines. I was the team leader on this project. It is an opensource project and we created a instructional manual so that the prosthetic design can be reproduced....taking in the consideration the local materials and manufacturing processes of Colombia.
