We are looking for a reliable and inquisitive lead Android Engineer to take ownership of our existing app and join our growing team in NYC. Skiplagged is made for consumers, by consumers and being able to help consumers experience the world better and cheaper is core to who we are.

In this role you will:

• collaborate with our design, engineering and marketing team members to iterate on designs of our Android app
• build reliable and efficient front-end systems
• troubleshoot performance issues
• participate in code reviews
• identify and communicate Android best practices

We expect you to have:

• Advanced knowledge of Java and Android
• At least 2 years experience as an Android developer
• Familiarity with React Native
• Solid Computer Science fundamentals
• Appreciation of cross-device compatibility issues
• Reliability and self motivation.
• Respect, maturity, and open-mindedness
