Who We Are:

Since 1986, Colour Studio has been a boutique architectural and product color consulting firm that bridges art and science for clients across the United States.

Colour Studio helps developers, building owners, architects, and designers realize the psychological and visual benefits of color resulting in more attractive and financially successful projects. We advocate for “smart color,” crafted to advance a client’s business, organizational, or personal aspirations. Our projects include multi-family and mixed-use developments, corporate offices, institutional campuses, and select residences. We pride ourselves on a collaborative, open, and creative environment.

Colour Studio has a unique opportunity for a full-time designer who is technically savvy with an interest in architectural color. Our work requires rendering color solutions in a visual format that our clients can grasp and respond to. We are seeking an organized, self-directed individual with the digital capabilities and communication skills to support our clients’ needs to build and re-imagine properties and products.

The ideal candidate will have the technical skills to deliver impeccably crafted visual materials on a tight deadline while also taking responsibility for production, presentation, and execution.

Apply color designs using Adobe Photoshop on architectural elevations and site plans, produce color specification boards and design deliverables, and package and send deliverables to clients.

30% Project Coordination

Draft proposals, respond to RFIs, interact with clients, coordinate with contractors, obtain drawings from architects, and ensure all deliverables are produced on-time and within budget limitations.

20% Office Administration

Support the overall studio and principal with daily tasks, maintain materials library, maintain supplies for printers and deliverables, answer phones and respond to inquiries, and conduct general office upkeep.

Skills and Qualifications:

Design-related college degree (i.e., Architecture, Industrial Design, Landscape, Interiors, Graphic Design).

Strong skill in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign, for completing color specifications and project deliverables with meticulous attention to detail.

Solid understanding of architectural plans and elevations and competence in reading them.

Ability to effectively communicate with clients, consultants, and colleagues.

Capacity to coordinate multi-faceted projects through completion, meeting strict budgets and tight deadlines.

Knowledge of large-format printing, including color management and printer troubleshooting.

Knack for finessing electronic file transfers (FTP sites, Dropbox, etc.) and the usual MS Office applications.

Comfortable troubleshooting computer software, large format color printers, and digital cameras.

Proficient with Mac computers and software.

Skill in using Sketch Up a plus.
