- Prepare and submit filings in the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) for maintaining existing state licenses held by the company and individual mortgage loan originators; assists in obtaining new state licenses via NMLS
- Facilitate onboarding of mortgage loan originators, including creation of NMLS accounts, sponsorship, credit and background report review, education and testing
- Monitor NMLS correspondence from state regulators; correspond with state regulators regarding license approvals and examination requirements
- Provide assistance on required monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory filings and license renewals
- Research branch licensing requirements for new branches and adding licenses to existing branches on a state by state basis
- Understand the S.A.F.E. Act and state licensing requirements
- Assist with administration of the compliance management system which may include assisting in monitoring and testing, complaint management and creating and updating policies and procedures
- Work closely with Legal & Compliance team members on special projects
A Successful Candidate Will Have These Minimum Qualifications and Experience
5+ years mortgage lending experience, with preferred 3+ years of NMLS experience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Comfortable managing a large volume of work with a strong results focus Strong analytical, communication, problem solving and research skills Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
