Spoke is a young, well funded, San Francisco-based startup that is reinventing workplace ticketing systems. Our goal is to make Spoke the primary business application that companies use for all of their knowledge and service requests. We’re a small team of designers, engineers and machine-learning experts who are repeat entrepreneurs and most recently worked at Google and Twitter.
We are looking for exceptional engineers to join our team in San Francisco. At Spoke we are using ML and NLP technologies to make workplace ticketing systems smarter. The work spans many disciplines: Information Retrieval, NLP, ML, and deep learning.
Responsibilities:
- Implement new features and algorithms for our search and conversation engine.
- Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning models and features.
- Design and implement data collection pipelines.
- Tune and deploy learning systems to handle 100K+ rpm.
- Write high-quality code, with emphasis on maintainability, readability, and testing.
- Review code and technical designs. Onboard new engineers.
- Triage and fix bugs. Collaborate with others in troubleshooting and addressing production issues.
- Willingness to learn and work on other parts of our platform stack.
Requirements:
- Track record (3+ years professionally or academically) of building large scale ML or data pipeline systems.
- Proficient in at least one or more programming languages including but not limited to Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Experience with ML and NLP software packages and tools (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Theano, Torch, Spacy, NLTK).
- Familiarity with modern data storage messaging and processing tools (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Spark, Kafka, SOLR/Elastic).
- Experience with high-pace test driven development and continuous integration environments.
- Ability to balance priorities while working alone or within a team.
