Our community is the center of everything we do. The UX lead will be in charge of creating experiences that delight them and grow their business. You will work closely with our Design Director, Management and Product Managers to identify opportunities to improve the product through User- centred design processes. You will get hands on with the Development Team to implement and iterate your solutions. You will be conducting user research, interviews, surveys, and usability tests, developing information architecture and user-flows, and translating them into sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze UX problems and design innovative solutions that meet measurable customer needs, business requirements and goals.
- Create personas, user journey maps, information architecture models, wireframes, prototypes, conducting research interviews and shadowing users.
- Iterate quickly on concepts, delivering in terms of hours/days and not weeks/months
- Collaborate with PMs and Designers for new features, enhancements and design specs as well as influence product strategy and roadmap
- Work with product to create UX flow diagrams, copy and illustrations to tell a clear story throughout product.
- Integrate analytical learnings about our users and our business to design and propose thoughtful, user-centered features, flows, and interface designs
- Be an integral part of our team by contributing to design, evangelizing UX in the company, and providing design feedback and critiques to better support and align roadmaps
- Incorporate customer feedback, technical constraints, and usability findings into design
- Contribute to the design of A/B tests and metrics gathering to improve conversion and bring new customers to the service across multiple platforms
- Produce development-ready visual design experiences, specifications and assets for web, mobile and tablet
- Collaborate with developers in the production and delivery of a polished, final product
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of product design experience, including wireframing, conceptualization, visual design, UX design
- Proven knowledge and experience conducting qualitative research (both generative and evaluative) and driving product success on mobile platforms
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-caliber visual, illustration, and interaction design skills
- Meticulous eye for detail, while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Mixpanel, Looker, and managing A/B tests with Optimizely
- Mastery of Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator and knowledge of prototyping tools (Invision, Balsamiq, Axure)
- A talent for writing good copy is a huge plus!
- Experience with HTML/HTML5/Jade and CSS3/SASS a plus!
