This was the very first design I ever created for HireClub back in April 2011. 3G lol! Obviously a lot has changed since then but somethings haven’t.
We still value friendships over networking. Real conversations over posts. Honest stories over marketing.
HireClub back then was just an experiment. I invited 25 of my friends one day. We had our first interview that day. Our first hire that week.
But little did I know that out of all my projects HireClub would be the one to last.
The one I would wake up every morning smiling about.
There’s many startups that focus on growth or revenue or design and while those things are important, what makes me so lucky and happy to work on HireClub is all of you. Our community.
We really have something special here, friends helping friends.
Who knows what the future will bring, I think too many CEOs sell you clam chowder on their companies want to save the world.
But my goals are much simpler. I want to build a company that lasts. One that respects its workers and community. A company that gives back more than it takes. A company whose goals come from the community and is supported through clear and simple business models. And I’m ok taking time to get there.
We are celebrating tonight in 8 different cities! Some for the very first time.
