Promotions on a resume are like gold. Someone trusted you enough to give you money and then gave you MORE money.
Here's how I recommend listing each position separately.
Senior Engineer (Promotion) PiedPiper, March 2020 - Present
- Bullet 1
- Bullet 2
- Bullet 3
- Bullet 4
- Bullet 5
Engineer (Promotion) PiedPiper, Feb 2019 - Feb 2020
- Bullet 1
- Bullet 2
- Bullet 3
- Bullet 4
Intern PiedPiper, Nov 2019 - Feb 2019
- Bullet 1
- Bullet 2
- Bullet 3
Keep in mind
The most recent position has the most bullets which are relevant to your growth. The former positions list less. You want to show what I call your Career Arc. The position you are applying for should ideally come next on this list. Or at least make sense in a pattern. All jobs have at least 3 bullets.
Things not to do
Combine positions (doesn't show growth, hides accomplishments) List all titles and then one set of bullets (hard to capture all your amazingness at each title) Put the company first. This is your resume, sell yourself, not the company.
Book a resume review if you want more detailed coaching, specific to your situation.
