My Story

I started my career in I.T. while in the U.S. Navy and continued to work in high tech for more than 20 years, where I led, developed, and mentored 100s of individuals. I had the unique opportunity to partner collaboratively across each company, where I developed solid knowledge and experience across departments, including Software and Hardware Engineering, I.T. and Technical Support, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing Operations, and Human Resources. I had a successful career and advanced up the ladder to lead a large technical and finance team as a Director with 44 global engineers and managers.

Been There, Done That

After 5 challenging but fun years as a Director, I started experiencing burnout and decided that it was time to make a change. I left my job and started a home repair franchise called Mr. Handyman. My business was a success, and in 2 years, I set a national record for their fastest franchise growth. Unfortunately, the effects of burnout still lingered, and I decided to sell my business, pack my bags, and relocate to Austin, Texas.

This was the change that I needed. I went to a Career Coach and quickly discovered that Career Coaching was my ideal career: a perfect fit. My passion for helping, mentoring, and developing individuals, coupled with my in-depth knowledge of multiple careers, prepared me for the transition into Career Coaching.

I received my initial certification as a Professional in Career Management PCM and then expanded my credentials to include Certified Personal Branding Strategist (CPBS), Certified Digital Branding Strategist (CDBS)

Fourteen Years Later

I have helped more than 1,500 clients throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. My core clients are individual contributors and leaders in High Tech, IT, Project & Program Management, Finance, Customer Service, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Operations, and Human Resources. I've also helped clients in Education, Construction, and Education.
